Steering wheel remote control functions
Continue to use the steering wheel remote control with the aftermarket radio; the following functions are possible (depending on the vehicle and radio):

Telephone
In some vehicles, the original hands-free system can be operated using the telephone buttons. After replacing the original radio, the telephone buttons no longer work. The interface restores this function. The original hands-free system can then be operated together with an aftermarket radio.

- THE INSTALLATION OF THIS DEVICE MUST ONLY BE CARRIED OUT BY TRAINED PERSONNEL.
- ROUTE CABLES SO THAT THEY CANNOT BE KNEADED OR DAMAGED BY SHARP EDGES.
- DO NOT INSTALL THE DEVICE IN LOCATIONS WHERE IT IS EXPOSED TO MOISTURE, HEAT, DUST, OR MECHANICAL STRESS.
- USE ONLY THE SPECIFIED ACCESSORIES.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
- Remove the key from the ignition lock and then disconnect the ground cable from the (-) battery terminal. (Check with your vehicle manufacturer or workshop beforehand whether the battery can be disconnected in your vehicle.) This will prevent the risk of damage to the device or the vehicle should a short circuit occur during installation.
- Check that the plug assignment of your vehicle matches that of the device being retrofitted. Connect color-coded cables as indicated. Incorrect plug assignments or cable connections can cause the device to malfunction or damage the vehicle's electrical system.
- Vehicles are usually equipped with various electronic control systems; DO NOT use the existing cables from such systems to power this device. When connecting additional supply lines in the fuse box, these must be fused according to their power consumption, cross-section, and cable length! Failure to comply may result in damage to the device and/or the vehicle.
